CARE
WEARING
When wearing your Jomie Bikini, please be mindful of the surfaces you are sitting on or leaning against. Rough abrasive surfaces can damage the soft, smooth surface of the delicate nylon/spandex blend. This type of fabric damage, called fabric pilling is irreversible.
We recommend that you do not wear your bikini in treated spa baths, over chlorinated and over heated spas and pools, as this may cause the colours to fade quicker.
Some sunscreen lotions, fake tanning products and dark tanning oils may mark and damage your bikini. Please take extra care when using these products and ensure they are completely dry before they come in contact with your bikini.
WASHING
Your handmade bikini are investment pieces that need special care when washing. As with all swimwear of any make or style, never put them in the washer or dryer. Never. Even delicate or “handwash” cycles pose risks to these delicate garments.
Please note that chlorine, sunscreen lotions, tanning products, and salt water will cause normal wear and tear over time. Always rinse your bikini thoroughly in cold water after each use.
HOW TO WASH YOUR BIKINI
1. Rinse right away
If you have been in the ocean or pool, as soon as you take off your bikini, rinse it in cold water. The longer the fabric sits with the salt water or chlorine in it, the more likely it will stink and for the colours to fade.
2. Hand wash
Only hand wash your bikini after wearing with cold water, using a mild, gentle soap.
When hand washing, please do not use harsh laundry detergent, fabric softener or bleach. The chemicals in these products are too harsh for your bikini, and can strip the dyes, causing the colours to fade. Never leave to soak.
3. Lay flat to dry
Do not put your bikini in the dryer, or wring them out to dry, as these can cause your bikini to lose shape and stretch out. Do not leave rolled up wet. Instead, drip dry or lay them flat on a towel to dry indoors or in the shade. Do not place in direct sunlight to dry. The sun could cause your bikini colours to fade.
With any purchase from us, you will receive a card outlining the care instructions for your bikini. Please keep this card in a safe place for your easy reference.

HOW TO REMOVE STAINS FROM YOUR BIKINI
If you get a stain on your bikini, avoid spot treatments and instead sprinkle baking soda onto the stain, let it sit for an hour or two, and then hand wash.
HOW TO REMOVE SAND FROM YOUR BIKINI
If you get any sand into your bikini, remove it by following the easy steps below:
1. Rinse your bikini in cold water
No soap or detergent. Just fill a tub with cold water. Place your bikini in the tub and let it soak for about 10 minutes. Gently rinse in cold water. Rinsing the bikini will remove any excess sand and extra debris before you attempt the next step.
2. Let it dry
Lay your bikini flat to dry on a towel. Drying the bikini allows the sand to be removed easily. Find a cool dry place for the bikini to dry.
3. Shake off the sand
Once the bikini are dry, shake vigorously to make sure all the sand comes off, or use a dry towel to rub the sand off the bikini to remove any leftover sand on the garment. Do not use a brush or harsh surface to get rid of the sand. Swimwear material has a tendency to stretch and pull easily if it is scrubbed too hard.
STORAGE
Store in a dry place with good ventilation.
Please do not store inside a sealed plastic bag, as this does not allow the fabric to breathe.
